Guidelines for presentations

Oral presentations

The time allocation of each invited oral presentation is 30 minutes including discussions. The time allocation of each contributed oral presentation is 15 minutes including discussions. Both presenters and session chairs are advised to respect these time limits.

Poster presentations

Poster boards will be available. The display area is 90 cm (horizontally) by 140 cm (vertically). The posters will be displayed during the workshop from 9-18 every day.

Technical equipment

The conference room is equipped with an overhead projector for transparencies and a computer for electronic presentations. A CD-Rom or USB flash drive can be used to transfer electronic presentations onto the computers. We strongly recommend you trial the transfer well in advance of your oral presentation. Acceptable electronic formats are Powerpoint, Keynote and PDF. The computers (PC and Mac) provide the newest versions of the Powerpoint Viewer, Acrobat Reader, and Keynote. It is also possible to connect personal notebooks to the available beamers. However, this should be tested well in advance, too, since incompatibilities may occur. Technical assistance is available.
