| Forecasts of aurora for Kiruna region have been developed in Lund and are offered as voice and SMS messages for mobile phones. | If a fast halo coronal mass ejection has left the Sun, then there is a chance of seeing aurora within 1-3 days.
If the fast coronal mass ejection reached L1 and the geomagnetic activity index Kp is forecasted equal or larger than 7, then there is a chance of seeing aurora within 1-3 hours. |
